What is the  Urdd Gobaith Cymru National Eisteddfod?

Urdd Gobaith Cymru's National Eisteddfod is the largest competitive youth cultural festival in Europe.
It is an important festival for children and young people in Wales, which gives a focus to their talents and
cultural activities. It is held annually, during Whitsun (?) week in North and South Wales alternately.
Around 40,000 take part in local and county Eisteddfodau in advance of the National Eisteddfod.
